Canteen
CanTeen was established to ensure that no young person in New Zealand living with cancer should ever have to feel alone.
Since its inception, CanTeen has had a clear focus on the needs of young people living with cancer.
CanTeen’s foundation was built upon the fundamental belief that young people - through meeting, talking and sharing their experiences - would be better able to cope with the uncertainties of living with cancer.
Project K
Project K is a youth development program designed to inspire 14 – 15-year-olds to reach their potential through building self-confidence, promoting good health and education and teaching life skills such as goal setting and teamwork. Project K evaluation has shown Project K students have increased self-esteem, stay in education longer, achieve goals and have improved attitudes and behavior. Many graduates have achieved far more than they dreamed possible.
