Jump Start Area
The area in the immediate proximity of the PTSU hangar is where jumpstart attendees should remain for the entirety of their visit. RNZAF personnel should be approached if attendees need to move anywhere out side this area.

PTSU Hangar
The PTSU Hangar will be used as the operational area and the Aircraft will be parked in front of the Hangar. Tandem masters & camera flyers may pack in the PTSU hangar and use the large crew room and classroom. All other people need to keep clear of this area.

ASC Hangar (main viewing area)
The Long open hangar to the rear of the PTSU hangar will be used as the main viewing area. Anyone may use this area for socializing &packing. There will be a large tarpaulin on the hangar floor on which to pack parachutes. Also the loads (sorties) will be formed up in the hangar.

Who can Fly
The only people who are allowed to fly are the Tandem masters and their passengers, camera flyers, sponsors and selected media people. There is simply not the time or space to accommodate every one.

Administration
Anyone who is rostered to fly on board the C130 needs to report to the manifest area in the main viewing area. Skydivers will have equipment  & paperwork checks. Tandem passengers and sponsors will have a paperwork check. When these checks are complete, a wristband will be issued for ease of identification.

Tandem Passengers
If In the previous 48 hours you been SCUBA diving, or in an altitude chamber in the previous 24 hours or had major oral surgery, please tell one of our medical team.

What to wear on the Aircraft
All on board need to be fully clothed i.e. shoes will full uppers, full length trousers and long sleeves. A purpose made jumpsuit is ideal. Helmets are also to be worn. Tandem masters should provide a helmet for their passengers.

Drop Zone
The DZ is a large area to the front of the main viewing area. This area is for landing parachutes and therefore should be kept clear. Only move out to the drop Zone if invited to do so by RNZAF  personnel.

Base Alarm System
In the event of a base call out or emergency a loud siren will alarm for one minute. All attendees should remain clear of roads and make their way to the area to the rear of the PTSU hangar. This action is mainly in  order to keep roads clear for emergency vehicles. This is particularly relevant to the road immediately to the front of the viewing area as it is a main thoroughfare for the base fire appliances. At 1200h daily this alarm is tested for 5 seconds.
