JUMP START – ANAHERA : Jump Start relies heavily on the individual skydivers who provide their time, equipment & expertise to this event as part of the working Tandem & Camera crew. This year Jump Start will honour the key organizers & the working crews with the new ‘Jump Start Anahera badge’. It will be a mark of high respect among New Zealand skydivers.

As you will know, Jump Start is looming. The event date is set for 14th March 2009 (weather day 15th March 09). Only a short time to go !
Behind the scenes we have been very busy in coordinating this years event. The RNZAF Hercules is “tasked” and so all confirmed for Jump Start 2009.

The Royal New Zealand Air Force have again confirmed their support for the Jump Start event in 2009.
Dates : 14th – 15th March 2009 (weekend)
Jump Start will be hosted at Whenuapai Base Auckland.

Project K, one of the Jump Start beneficiaries, has honoured the Jump Start event with presentation of a framed wall plaque – including images of the day and a certificate of appreciation.
Jump Start directors, Pete Maher & Tim Fastnedge were there to accept the award.

RNZAF have been formally recognized for their part in the Jump Start program this year. Tim Fastnedge and Bruce Thomson of the Jump Start committee, where there to make the ‘photo board canvas’ presentation to RNZAF Base Auckland.

RNZAF C-130 Life Extension Project Update :
A significant milestone in the progress of the C-130 Life Extension Project has been achieved at the L-3/SPAR facility in Edmonton, Canada with the arrival of two crews from 40 Squadron and commencement of formal training with the company on 22 January 2008.
